“Reflections” Taken by Me

…and today she stopped and stared,

she’s admiring the cityscapes of her home.

In that moment she admired the grandness and vastness

of what the past ‘them’ and ‘they’ built.

She decided not to take this moment for granted.

Humans have a tendency of stopping and accepting.

Accepting pain, broken promises, heartache.

Stopping right before, because continuing and achieving is terrifying.

We stop living and being present in our own lives,

taking life for granted when its not timeless, but on a timer.

As she stared she saw the moving souls, and through their eyes

their thoughts. She saw more of them than they probably felt comfortable showing.

She wondered what they saw when they looked at her,

She wondered what they thought of while they looked out into the city.

She wondered if maybe in that moment they appreciated

and dwelled on those thoughts that rarely get time,

she thought if like her, they admired and appreciated life.

Not many appreciate the view and life at that moment. They look the view but they don’t see. a nice topic to write on.

    1. Most people just go through the motions of their day to day life without noticing all that they’re missing. Sometimes we have to stop and open our eyes, stop and reset. Thank you 💛🐙

    1. I bet you could, just start writing about something that inspires you. Find that one thing in life that makes you wholeheartedly happy, let it run through your body.. then let it come out through your fingers as you write ❤
