Silver and Gold

“My Home” Taken by Gabriela Tejada

The silver sky is tranquil as it prepares to open up its soul and bless the many grounds and lands with natures food.

Slowly, drip by drip
drops of honeysuckle like rain fall out of its mouth
and into the waiting arms of the patient trees and sleeping willows.

Each drop filling in the faint cracks in the parched soil,
the art of precious scars brought together after drought
lifted higher and sealed with gold like drops of life and restoration.

Slowly flowers begin to bloom
and with it came promises and hope
with it comes the blessing of life after drought.
